Wood is at the core of everything I do—literally and philosophically. At MJ Woodcraft, I work only with carefully selected hardwoods that speak to both beauty and integrity. Each species is chosen not just for its grain or colour, but for its story, its resilience, and the way it feels under your fingertips.
You’ll find Yellow North American Oak, Beech, Ash, Sucupira, Tacula, Walnut, Acacia, just to mention a few, in my work. These woods are full of life—each with unique textures and tones, from warm golden hues to deep, rich browns. Some are native, others are sourced from trusted, sustainable suppliers. But all are treated with the same reverence.
Every board is finished with mineral oil and natural orange wax, a combination that’s 100% food-safe (FDA compliant). This brings out the grain’s depth, adds a soft glow, and protects the wood without masking its natural character.
The materials I use are a promise: of durability, of beauty, and of responsible making. Nothing is rushed, nothing is wasted. Just raw material, elevated with purpose.
