The brand strengthens its commitment to Portugal with a new communications and social media strategy

UrbanGlide, a European brand specializing in urban electric mobility, has once again entrusted EDC with leading its communications, public relations, and social media strategy in Portugal. Following a previous collaboration marked by excellent results, the brand returns two years later with new goals and renewed ambition: to establish itself as the go-to choice for those seeking practical, sustainable, and innovative solutions for getting around Portuguese cities.

UrbanGlide offers a comprehensive range of products tailored to consumers’ diverse needs. The brand provides a wide selection of mobility accessories designed for different urban lifestyles:

  • Electric scooters for quick and efficient everyday travel, with models for adults and teens, focusing on range, safety, and comfort.
  • Balance bikes, ideal for helping little ones develop balance and coordination from an early age, in a safe and fun way.
  • Hoverboards that combine technology and fun, with eye-catching designs for a younger audience.
  • Scooters and mini electric vehicles, designed for broader mobility in urban areas, offering compact and eco-friendly solutions.

Portugal is a market with enormous potential for urban mobility solutions like ours. We want to be closer to consumers, communicate with authenticity and dynamism, and we believe that EDC is the right partner for this mission. They already know the brand, our values, and our target audience—and that makes all the difference,” says Carlos Luís, head of UrbanGlide in Portugal.

For EDC, this return is a sign of trust and an exciting challenge. “Welcoming UrbanGlide back is a source of pride and an opportunity to showcase what we can achieve with brands that challenge the status quo. We’ll work to bring the brand closer to the Portuguese public and reinforce its position as a benchmark for innovation, style, and sustainability,” says João Trigo, Managing Director of EDC.

The new communications phase kicks off this May, with a more active digital presence, PR initiatives focused on lifestyle and technology media, and a social media strategy aligned with the interests of the new urban generation—practical, eco-friendly, and always on the go.

For everyone’s safety when using the product, UrbanGlide recommends following traffic rules. Children must be supervised by an adult. It also advises wearing a helmet and other protective gear in case of a fall. Stay alert!
